When fate deals an ugly hand,
make sure to turn away.
The cards are not a set of chains
never settle for the pathe of least resitance.
When they tell you no,
give them a yes.
It's all a matter of a opinion,
and yours is the only one that counts.
Don't let the hate drag you down.
You are you, not a card,
or a statue,
or a fake,
or something they want you to be.
Smiling is a key
go and open your doors.
The dealer's made the deal.
Do you accept?

This is Where the Story Starts
This is where my story begins: it is in a small town called Cadence. We are a small group of people mostly males with a few women and no children. Why is this the case? Well, it's a longer story that goes back to the history of my people.
Eons ago in the Old Earth, humans got into a terriable fights. They had control over weapons called nuclear weapons that destoryed everything. The few of the Old ones who survived managed to rearrange our world into five major clans: de Louse, Caldrake, Finngan, Winlows, and Harthworns.
Blown upon the winds of time
across the bloody sea of red.
Burning, dying, loudly ringing
across a painted sky of gray.
Burrowed in a dream of life
a tale of pain and sorrow.
Colors blend and swirl apart
making the world eternal black.
Watch the little birdie fly and fall
as yellow coats the ground.
Hear my spirit soar in fear,
the Reaper drawing very near.
For if I ever go tonight,
my dreams shattered among the dead,
I value everything we've said,
among the many letters.
I never asked to be part of this,
never begged for pain, yet
here I stand, a foot already in the grave.
My heart can take no more of this
the burning in
Dear Papa,
It's been nearly a year since you left me and momma alone. We're gettin along great... or as great as we can. The bills came in last night and momma was up til one cryin her eyes out. I dropped out of school last week to go to work. I can hear you screamin already papa but there ain't no point in raisen your voice so loud the neighbors getted fussed. I had to be full time to ease some of momma's burden. It ain't easy raisen a girl like me. One that's unruly, unfit, lazy, ugly, a girl with no hope shining back in her eyes to the world around her. But papa, don't you worry a bit about me and momma. We'll be just fine. Now y
It's the same old song and dance
the same old rythm,
the same old tune.
I know where to twist,
I know where to bend,
I know where to move my arms
or move my hips.
I know where to Charleston
I know where to Jazz
I know where to give a ballerina's smile
and where to do a gesiha's bow.
I know where the props are
where the music is coming from
where the floor bends and swoops
because let me tell you,
its the same old song and dance.
The problem of the dance is not that it's old
or that it's difficult
or that it's extrememly easy for someone like me.
The problem is: Dancing alone is always heart breaking.
I've got nothing better to do
but sit here and stare at the sky,
wishing for you, wishing for me,
that everything we've had and everything we've got
doesn't disappear on an endless river of blue salt tears
or down the cliff of tall brown mountain
or into the heart of red hot lava.
It hasn't been perfect,
everyone knows it,
cause we've fought and we've yelled
Lord knows that we've done wrong to each other.
I've swung at you, you've swung at me
But it wasn't just the wrong that made it so right.
There have been the good
The hugs and the kisses and the laughter
and the love that sprouted out of nothing.
I can't thank-you enoug
The door slammed shut
and my heart felt heavy
and my eyes began to water.
The window shook and the curtains blew.
Icy covered skin. Air turned dark blue.
The only sound a shattered heart.
Gasps.
Sobs.
The covers are lonely.
I broke the mirror with my shoe.
I can't see. My eyes are glass.
My body hurts... it won't move.
Am I dying?
Probably.
It's for the best.
It always is for that.
You found me
my heart beats normally
I can see
My body can move
Please don't apologize!
Don't say I'm sorry!
It was never you!
It was never you... me
It was always me.
Me the broken
Me the dead
Me the lifeless
Me Me Me

You'd think you know someone
after living with them for
a few years. but, you'd be
wrong
to think such a ridiculous thing
For, who truly knows oneself better
than that person himself?
Years of loyalty and trust you give
to this person, but he takes that for
granted
Of course he would *snicker*
I have come to the conclusion
that all men are
deceiving
disgusting
dirty
liars.
Sitting by candle light
I stare out the rain-stained window.
It's pouring a monsoon outside
but I can see a faint outline of a figure.
Moments escape. . .
Tick. Tock. Tick.
The door opens behind. And there he is.
"You're late."
2:39 am

So I'm only about 10,000 words away from finishing my "50,000 word challenge fail novel". I'm contemplating sticking a couple of blurbs from it here on Da but I'm not so sure. >.< Comments anyone?
So I've never attempted a fanfic piece before so I'm going to try. I'm debating on what I want to do though... D'Gray-man? Sugar Sugar Rune? Shugo Chara? Detective Conan? @_@ too many options. Suggestions anyone?
